||"Health Matters" wins Silver Certificate for Doctors Hospital Manteca
"Health Matters," a new 'maglet' format from SHM Publishing, debuted in October, 2005. Created for Doctors Hospital of Manteca, the first
issue has earned second place in a nationwide competition for
hospital community newsletters. The eight-page quarterly targets a
rural community with proactive health news and details about the
advanced technology, convenience and caring of a little-known but
highly accomplished northern California hospital. The 23rd Annual
Healthcare Advertising Awards are the industry's longest running and largest professionals' contest in health and medical communications.

|| Lourdes "Life Choices Magazine" goes into design
Sue McEwan, founder of Target Marketing of Illinois, has selected
SHM Publishing to help research, write, design and print a new
quarterly publication that will circulate on behalf of Lourdes
Hospital in quilting capitol Paducah, Kentucky. The new newsletter
will help local-area residents become better informed about
opportunities to access excellent healthcare in an especially

||Apropo Power Point and Keynote assigned to SHM Publishing
A 40-minute speech and Power Point presentation are among projects in development at SHM Publishing. Nationally-recognized speech writer Peter Hassinger in New York City has joined SHM Publishing to begin key interviews with Apropo principals in Oregon. 50 slides and a methods-based narrative will inform healthcare executives about Apropo's new benefits management package for durable medical equipment.

||Quantum's venture capitalists establish new web site
Designer Richard Parr of Executionist.com brought SHM Publishing to the attention of Nickolas Konstant, founder, Quantum Merchant
Bankers. Mission: Clarify, edit, polish and revise content for
Quantum's soon to be posted venture capital web site. Veteran editor/writer Ron Shinkman, formerly of Modern Healthcare Magazine, serves as lead writer on the new project, in association with account exec Lisa Marie Parker.

||"Healthy in Huntington Beach"
Kathleen O'Brien Curran of Huntington Beach Hospital and Steven
Mullen, founder of SHM Publishing, first partnered together at
Fountain Valley Regional Hospital in 1999 to create award-winning
"Forum Magazine." Seven years later the pair are at it again, this time
creating "Healthy in Huntington Beach." On-site photography, editorial, design, demographics, print and distribution are to be fulfilled by SHM Publishing under Curran's direction with assistance from Nate Hart, physician relations at the hospital. First edition circulates in May, 2006.
